Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SkyLog: Pilot Flight Tracker (the "App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App on your iPhone or iPad. We designed the App to work entirely on your device. We do not collect, store or share personal data on our servers.

1. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, transmit or receive any personal information from you. The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide a name, email address, phone number or any other identifier. We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising software of any kind.

2. Data stored on your device

The App stores the following data locally on your device so that you can continue your pilot career between sessions:

• Your in-game logbook entries, flight tracks, statistics, licences, achievements and coin balance.
• Your hangar, aircraft upgrades and contract board state.
• Settings such as sound, haptics, units and control preferences.
• An optional pilot portrait that you choose to add to your in-game licence card.

This data never leaves your device unless you back it up yourself through Apple's standard device backup features. Deleting the App removes all of this data.

3. Camera and photo library

Some features of the App use the camera or the photo library. Permission is requested only when you open the related feature, and you can decline or revoke it at any time in the iOS Settings app.

• Sky Scanner lets you photograph the real sky or pick an existing sky photo. The image is analysed on your device to generate in-game weather. The photo is not uploaded anywhere.
• Cockpit Postcard shows a live camera preview with a game overlay so you can capture a postcard image. The result is saved to your photo library only if you choose to save it.
• Pilot portrait lets you pick or take a photo for your in-game licence card. It is stored locally within the App.
• Skywriting artwork can be saved to your photo library at your request.

All image processing happens on your device. We do not have access to your camera, your photos or anything you capture.

4. Motion sensors

If you enable optional tilt steering, the App reads your device's motion sensors to steer the aircraft. This data is used in real time only and is never stored or transmitted.

5. In-app purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases (coin packs and a one-time Captain's Pass) processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. When you make a purchase, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy. We do not receive your name, payment details or billing address. The App only stores a local record of which purchases have been unlocked so that it can grant the related content and restore purchases on request.

6. Children's privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected or transmitted, there is nothing for us to store, share or delete.

7. Third-party services

Other than Apple's App Store services used for in-app purchases, the App does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs or libraries that collect data.

8. Security

Because all of your data stays on your device, its security depends on the protections provided by iOS, such as your device passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and encrypted backups. We recommend keeping your device and iOS up to date.

9. Your choices

• You can revoke camera, photo library or motion access at any time in iOS Settings. The related features will stop working, but the rest of the App remains fully usable.
• You can delete all App data by deleting the App from your device.
• You can restore previous in-app purchases at any time from the Treasury screen or Settings.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes are published means you accept the updated policy.
